Renew:
Let's Do It Again!
Do-Over!
Redo!

Create ‘n participate in the ultimate advocacy:

Our

National Civic Service Engagement

NCSE

Our 1935 New Deal ‘Work Project Administration

(WPA) was a major catapult for our country.

At the time of this crisis, a whopping

ninety years later, let us

lift our voices, pride

and spirit

through education,

training, new jobs and

public service in our arts, sciences

and our six life-care services.

Let’s rebuild and lay new

infrastructure

for our future.

The precedent

has been set.

Let’s do it again.

A Modest
Piece Proposal:

A good start may be creating our long overdue:

Journey Toward Justice Tour

Art Installations throughout the

United States of the Americas

commemorating the many

courageous people

and vital events

who//that

advanced

our

perceptions

and practice

of democracy.

Why?

Let us do it for the most important reason:

For the Sake of Our Young.

What Lies Beyond? More!

Our work has just begun.

If we are to act to HOPE,

If we are to realize our storytelling,

If we are to realize our create+make,

If we are to realize our mended piece-quilt,

If we are to realize our goals of Social Equity,

we must discuss, debate and draw

consensus through negotiation.

 Wherefore, engaged, thoughtful

hoping, storytelling and creating

are crucial to Advocacy.

Here is a place to start,

a not-so-novel concept:

Stop the name-calling!

There are pressing state ‘n federal bills and

laws to reinforce, revise or repudiate;

unjust ones to strike down,

just ones to uphold,

new ones to propose.

There are also constitutional, economical,

educational, medical, protective, sexual,

scientific and environmental issues

to address with many people

precariously perched and

in need of our help

and support

trust, and

love.

If we slide into apathy, if we forfeit empathy,

we will never achieve our potential for unity.

Yet, we cannot provide just care for all

by sentiment alone; it is insufficient.

Action informed by empathy is the

only true course of mending.

Word Count: 291
Unless, again, we are required to include the states' abbreviations.
Then, it would be 291+26=317
But, again, do abbreviations count?
What about "Acronyms?"
Do we have to account for all the words they represent?
And what do we do with those 'n -s (plural). Do they count?
